Being from Indiana I’ve always felt a sense of pride when it came to Indianapolis. As far as larger cities go, Indy is one of the cleanest, safest and friendliest cities I’ve been to. These reasons, along with Indy’s attractions such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, The Worlds Largest Childrens Museum, and the Indianapolis Zoo just to name a few make Indy a wonderful place for families to visit.
Families will be pleased to find that most of Indy’s hotels are family friendly offering reasonable rates. Many offering a free breakfast and some even offer an evening meal and snack which is always nice on the pocket book. Most have indoor pools for mom and dad to relax and the kids to wear off some of that extra enegy.
On the city’s north side, Caribbean Cove Hotel and Waterpark offers stay and play packages to provide your entire family a weekend full of fun. However the waterpark is so much fun itself and open year round that there isn’t much need to venture any place else! Or if your weekend events are planned around the downtown area Indianapolis’ Omni Severin Hotel takes great pleasure in doting on the younger ones with a backpack filled with toys and activities and milk and cookies on the first night as well as an indoor pool all within walking distance to downtowns hottest spots. From things to do to places to stay Indianapolis is an ideal place for families to get away.
